The Longest Wait
This short story was inspired by some thoughts I've had while waiting for the bus in a strange place. Becoming stranded can be scary, but it's going to be alright.

This is genius, woah. You've somehow managed to perfectly encapsulate the feeling of stress on a bad day with heat and loneliness. To be alone with one's thoughts for even only 15 minutes can have you going into overthinking spirals having you believe everyone hates you and that everything's going to shit. But really everything's gonna be okay, and I think it's increasingly becoming more difficult for people to sense that they are cared for. Thanks midosei!
Hi! That was more or less the idea/"challenge" behind this one, so I'm really glad the message went through! I wasn't sure I'd be able to pull it off but I think the progressive descent to paranoia turned out natural enough, so I'm really proud of the result.
